George Bailey is an associate at Alvery Bartlett Group in Clayton, Missouri. As a sales assistant to Alvery Bartlett, Jr., George focuses on alternative investments in energy and real estate. He also manages the firm’s outreach to the Chinese investor community in the U.S.
George obtained his JD from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, where he worked in the school’s intellectual property and nonprofit organization clinic. Upon graduation, he received the Dean’s Service Award for his extensive pro bono service in the St. Louis community. He also belongs to the Order of Barristers for excellence in oral advocacy and brief writing skills.
Prior to attending law school, George was a language instructor for nine years and has taught courses in Mandarin Chinese, Danish, and English. In his final year of instruction, he received the Wolfgang Mittermeier Award for Excellence in Academic Teaching from Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen in Germany, where he instructed for three years. George attended Brigham Young University, where he obtained a BA in Mandarin Chinese and an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
George is involved in the St. Louis community through his church and through his membership on the board of directors for Money Smarts School of Finance for Children and the Asian American Chamber of Commerce. He is married and has four children. George is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, German, and Danish and is currently learning Spanish.
