Alex Lee serves as the head of the legal department for Centric Group, LLC as its Director of Legal Affairs. Centric Group is a holding company based in St. Louis, Missouri.  Alex was previously an attorney with Carmody MacDonald, P.C. and also Assistant General Counsel for WorkNet Communications.

Alex is a graduate of Washington University School of Law and obtained his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is licensed in state and federal courts in Missouri and Illinois. He is a life-long St. Louisan and attended St. Louis Country Day School.

Alex served as the President for the Missouri Asian American Bar Association (MAABA) from 2010-2011. MAABA is an organization of Asian American attorneys, law professors, judges, elected officials, and law students dedicated to advocating on behalf of the Asian American legal community and overall community on a state and local basis. MAABA is an affiliate of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA), the national association of Asian Pacific American (APA) attorneys, judges, law professors, and law students, providing a national network for its members and affiliates. NAPABA advocates for the legal needs and interests of the APA community and represents the interests of over 40,000 attorneys and 62 local APA bar associations, with practice settings ranging from solo practices to large firms, corporations, legal services organizations, non-profit organizations, law schools, and governmental agencies. Under Alex’s Presidency MAABA was recognized as NAPABA’s “Affiliate of the Year” for 2011. Alex served as MAABA’s Vice President in 2009-2010, and is currently on its Board of Directors.

In addition to MAABA, Alex serves on the Board of the St. Louis County Bar Association. He has been a Volunteer Lawyer for the St. Louis Volunteer Lawyers Program and a Volunteer Teacher for the Junior Achievement Program.

In 2011, Alex was recognized by the Regional Business Council (RBC), an AACC partner, as part of its inaugural Leadership 100 class. The RBC is an organization of 100 CEOs of midcap companies in the St. Louis region. Its mission is to unite and engage members to act on high-impact business, civic and philanthropic affairs for the betterment of the St. Louis region. The Leadership 100 is a group of diverse young professionals from across the St. Louis region that includes some of the area’s most influential business executives, community leaders and political officials. The members of the Leadership 100 were selected for their commitment to the growth of the region and their potential to change the face of St. Louis.

Alex Lee and Johnny Wang co-founded the AACC in 2011.

Our vision is to be instrumental in connecting Asian American businesses and organizations in the St. Louis region as well as positioning this region to be internationally competitive.
