Leadership - Peter Tao

Peter Tao is a founding principal and president of TAO + LEE Associates, Inc. TAO + LEE is an award winning St. Louis based design firm providing Architectural, Planning, Interiors, and Creative Design services.

Peter’s career work history includes considerable international experience. Formerly resident in New York City and London, England his business experiences includes working in Belgium, China, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Malaysia, Norway, Scotland, Switzerland, Taiwan and Thailand.

Peter received his Masters of Architecture degree from Columbia University (New York) and a Bachelor of Arts degree (major in architecture) from Washington University (St. Louis).

Over the years, Peter has extensively been involved with his community, serving on a variety of boards and committees. This has included the AIA/ American Institute of Architects, St. Louis and London Chapters, The Gateway Welcome Project, The International Institute of St. Louis, Mary Institute Country Day School (MICDS), The New Mississippi River Bridge Commission, OCA/Organization of Chinese Americans, The St. Louis Mosaic Project, Washington University’s National Council, School of Architecture and Alumni Board of Governors, Worldways Children’s Museum.

In 2015 Peter was honored and included in the inaugural publication of Who’s Who Diversity In Color. Peter has also received a Diverse Business Leader recognition award from the St. Louis Business Journal and a Saint Louis Rams Community Quarterback Award. In 2015 TAO + LEE was recognized as a City of St. Louis Businesses of the Year Mayor’s Award and Asian Business of the Year by the St. Louis Asian American Chamber of Commerce.
