AACC Foundation Programs & Initiatives

The AACC Foundation is dedicated to empowering the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community and strengthening the fabric of St. Louis through education, cultural celebration, and community partnerships. Our work spans across events, collaborations, and initiatives that amplify voices, support families, and create opportunities for future generations.

International Institute Partnership

The AACC Foundation partners with the International Institute of St. Louis to co-host cultural and business events that showcase the diversity of our city. Together, we bring leaders, entrepreneurs, and community members together to celebrate heritage, strengthen economic connections, and foster opportunities for immigrant and refugee communities.

Multi-Ethnic Chamber Collaboration

Through the Multi-Ethnic Chamber Alliance, the Foundation helps host one of the region’s largest multicultural business gatherings. In 2024, this event highlighted food, performances, and networking across diverse chambers, advancing our mission to build bridges between communities, strengthen minority-owned businesses, and grow an inclusive St. Louis economy.

Very Asian Foundation Partnership

In partnership with the Very Asian Foundation (VAF), founded by Michelle Li in 2022, the AACC Foundation highlights cultural visibility and combats stereotypes through storytelling and education. VAF’s May Book Project has reached nearly 80,000 students nationwide, while its Creators Microgrant empowers artists. In 2024, AACC and VAF worked together to elevate AAPI representation in St. Louis through community events and media visibility.

Philippines Teacher Support (2024)

When 24 teachers from the Philippines arrived in St. Louis to work in underserved schools such as Ferguson and Jennings, the Foundation led a coat and essentials drive. With community support, we provided warm clothing, groceries, and household items to help them adjust to their first winter and thrive in their new roles. This initiative reflects our commitment to supporting educators who are shaping the next generation.

Community & Cultural Celebrations

The AACC Foundation proudly supports cultural festivals and national independence celebrations across the region, reinforcing the importance of heritage in building community strength:

  • Diwali Celebration – Honoring South Asian traditions through music, food, and cultural performances.

  • Eid Celebration – Partnering with community leaders to celebrate unity and faith while spotlighting local Muslim professionals.

Independence Day Celebrations – Supporting Filipino, Vietnamese, Indian, and Pakistani communities during their annual independence festivals, highlighting pride, tradition, and economic contributions.
